Be prepared !!!

I should really have taken more notice when I was a brownie - many moons ago - lol. The one day I left the house without my camera, is the one day I really needed it.

After going around the City getting James new school uniform - our last stop was to get some cricket tickets for Jon & James. so a quick stop off at Edgbaston Cricket Ground and low and behold the Indian & England cricket teams were training, not only did I not have my camera but I only had a scratty notebook and pen.

So we ended up buying a mini bat - noticed a few of the boys waiting had them - and I managed to get some snaps on my phone -

Not a good photo of one of Indian players.

Managed to get Alastair Cooke and Kevin Peterson autographs.

tell you what, they are really gorgeous in person, and if I wasn't busy I would defo be at the cricket ground with J&J eyeing these hunks up - l mean watching the match ;-)

Document 2011 - July 2011

For July pages I have again done extra pages, I've also tried to use some of the many embellishments I got with the July kit as well as the stamp.

Close up of the stamp, embossed 'butter' Zing embossing powder.

Photos of my day in the garden at Nana's

My many trips to the cinema, not being able to drive over the past 7 weeks, Julie has been coming over on a Wednesday and we have been going to the cinema and out for lunch. It has been a life saving being able to get out and about once a week and doing something that I enjoy.

So we saw, Bad Teacher, Bridemaids, Harry Potter. Then me and James went to see Cars2 the first week of the holidays.

Details of the weekend at MIL cottage.

I also used one the Maya Road chipboard boy shapes, misted in Mr Huey Classic Calico.

Getting our new suite, it took my ages to decide which one to get, but I finally got this one, which we all love.

James last day of school, in his old uniform, me at 5 weeks after op, Jamaica Live and Acobatics in City.

James wanted to visit the 'Home of Metal' exhibition at the Museum so we spent a couple of hours going around the museum (we even saw the 'Staffordshire Hoard' even James was interested in this, unfortunately I wasn't able to take any photos, but if you are in Birmingham you should go and have a look.

After all the walking around the museum we relaxed in the city centre.

Me & James after watching Cars2 in 3D - a new experience for James and he coped with it very well.

So that all for my July pages, thanks ofr stopping by , come back soon

We will Rock You

Me and James have just spent this afternoon watching this.

It was fantastic. I wasn't sure whether James would cope with it, being noisy, have flashing lights and crowds, but he loved it - so I needn't have worried.

Another first for James ...

And a thank you kiss for me.

Document 2011 - April - June 2011

(I've tried several times to sort out the layout of the post, but it won't do what I want it to - so apologies for the big spacing)

Sorry its taken so long to upload, but I've got there in the end -lol. Here are my April to June Document 2011 pages, and I will try and upload each month from now on.

All using Studio Calico Kits for that month. Apologies for the glare from the page protector.

For my April pages, I did some extra pages because I wanted to document my holiday and my day trip to Pensthrope Nature Reserve.

I'm A Twisted Sketch Sister ..

Well what a boost I got this month when I opened my emails and I was accepted to join the Twisted Sketches - Layout design team.

I was blown away, I wanted to email and text everyone straight away but had to wait until it was up on the site first, and the other reason I didn't tell people is because I have been disappointed in the past regarding scrapping news and told people all about it, only for it all to fall through and I'm left feeling disappointed. So has its now 'official' I can post on here.

The sketch is here and the twist was 'vintage'

And this is my layout, l've twisted the sketch, and didn't use two photos.

The photo is one of my Mum and her best friend, Lucy - they formed a closed friendship when my Mum first came over from Jamaica, which lasted a life time.

So I hope all you followers will follow my layouts over the coming months, oh boy! I really looking forward to this challenge and would like to thank Anam and the team for giving me this opportunity.

Come back soon to see my 1st layout for the site!
