Holiday Photos - Part 1

As promised I have downloaded some photos from my holidays.

James just couldn't wait to get into the sea ... even though it was freezing.

Having a race on the beach ...

Even at 13 James still has to win even with his 2yr cousin in tow. Its funny because he doesn't think there is anything wrong with him coming 1st all the time -

and he actually think he could be the next Usain Bolt - LOL

The boys going off on their own

View of the Beach

Even since I was little I have loved steam trains, so I'm completely taken in when I go to Sheringham because they have an old fashion railway station and a working steam train that goes along to the next village. I've not been on it in years but I do go and take load of photos, I must look funny because I'm on my own totally in awe of the train and loving every minute - sad I know - but it keeps me out of trouble for a while - LOL.

The station is all set up like the old days

I'll upload more photos soon

Holiday Scrapping

Hope you have all had a great Easter and got all the eggs you wanted. We had a great holiday in Sheringham and it was great to get away and spend time together. I will upload some photos later this week.

I'm allowed to take one bag of stash, but obviously I do sneak some extra bits and pieces in the other bags ... much to my DH annoyance - LOL. But it keeps me quite in the evening and give me a chance to relax even more.

So I ended up doing 8 layouts and 1 baby card ... 2 I have already uploaded - see last two posts.

Twin Pose - MME Stella & Rose; Jenni Bowlin Calander card; KI Memories scribble word; October Afternoon sticker; Tim Holtz Ticket; Maya Road Bingo tile;

I love this photo of J & J but now I've done the layout not completely happy with how it has turned out so will be doing another layout with the same photo.

The last two layouts are my Document April 2011 sheets, for some reasons I've not uploaded the last couple of months so I'll do a batch other the next few weeks and upload all at once.

I need to have a Clear Out of Stash

Since I started Scrapbooking in 2008, I have accumilated loads and loads of stash, I'm a pushover for new papers, embellishments, buttons, brads, stickers, stamps, thickers, you name it I need to have it, and now my room is fit to bust and so taking a leaf out of my scrapping friend Laura book I decided to seriously get rid of most of what I have and will never use in a million years ... now Laura has a great excuse to sort her room out - the arrival of her 1 baby in September ... my excuse is ... I can't physically put anythings else into my room, and feel relax when I'm in their scraping.

So over the past few days I been putting things onto ebay to sell; stamps, papers, clip it up, so far but with more things being added later this week, and looking at the pile I've got it will take me weeks to list it all - LOL. Most of my listings will have a start price of 99p apart from my clip it up which is on for start at £30.

See my current items here

I will be putting some stamps including Scrapagogo; Magnolia; American Craft Mini; Elzebells; Stampin' Up; along with loads of embellishments, 12 x 12 patterned papers, punches, ink pads, etc, etc, etc, you name it I will be getting rid of it, so it you fancy a bargain to add to you crafting supplies please have a look at what I selling you might grab yourself a great bargain.

When I add new items, I will add a link on here.

Twisted Sketches No. 97 - Medium

Another great sketch from Twisted Sketches and the twist was to use 'Medium' so here is my take.

I used the Studio Calico April 2011 Kit and a photo taken by Kirsty Wiseman at the March 2011 Scrapagogo Retreat.

Back soon with more ...

Sarah's Card Sketch Challenge - April 2011

Here's my take on this months sketch. I did this layout whilst on holiday, and initially wanted to use a KI Memories Calendar Sheet, but has I had already used the one I took with me for my Document 2011 April page, I ended up using it as a template and hand stitching around the edge.

Product used: Sassfras - Papers - Sweetly Smitten & Starter; Stickers - Sweetly Smitten & Paper Crush; American Craft - Thickers; Fiskars border punch.

Thanks for looking ...

Happy Easter 2011

Happy Easter everyone, so for this year I purchased some Easter stamps from Stampin' Up (page 20 - 21) and did these cards. I'm not happy how they have been photograph they do look alot better in real life than on the photos - sorry. Of course I had to include my favourite cloud punch and a novelty sticker from paperchase

Then in the current Stampin' Up mini catalogue they have a new 'pillow case' Sizzex die (page 7), label punch and stamp set (page 11), and I made these.

Stamped and embossed using American Craft Zing Embossing Powder - Mustard.

and filled with these, each box can hold 5-6 mini eggs.

So I hope you like what I've done this Easter, and I hope you get all the Easter Eggs you want.

Happy Easter

Retreat Photos

At my last GoGo Getaway retreat Kirsty Wiseman took some photos of me. The hardest part was choosing 3 out of the many she took - but here are the 3 I picked.

And this is one that Kirsty gave me - she said she loved how I was laughing.

Hope you like them as much as I do.

WOW .. .this weather

Sorry this is a long post ... have rambled a bit but never mind eh!!!

is just what we all need. It makes everything look and feel 'happy' if you know what I mean, even though I'm sad.

I normally have loads of 'things' to do on an evening, not sure what these 'things' are but I always seem to have these 'things' to do. But over the past few weeks I've received some sad news - firstly, my cousin died at the age of 52 of cancer, and on the same day I found out about his death, my best friend of 35 years was diagnoised with terminal cancer and had a few months to live. On top of that it was also the anniversary of my brothers death 2 years ago, so obviously my head and heart has been all over the place these passed few weeks but it has got me thinking about life and what is important and what is not.

I feel that 'things' can just wait a while, while I go and enjoy being with my family and just hanging out. So on Friday evening, I ending up at my MIL ... not exciting but I've not seen her for weeks and she only live 10 mins away, we had a nice chat then had a walk in the park across the road from her house where Jon and James where playing football. The evening was just right, and it only took an hour and I felt so much better for it.

So we had a lovely walk enjoying the sights of the park.

A lovely magnolia in the MIL front garden

This is in the MIL sitting room

Then on Saturday I ventured into the City to do some shopping and then meet up with Jon and James after lunch.

Well on my travels through the Bullring I came across this ...

Jo Frost filming her current series of Jo Frost Extreme Parental Guidance, As I had my camera I thought it would be silly not to try and get some pictures ... so after going up and down the escalators several times to try and get the best shot I got these, not brilliant has she did stay in her area and had her back to crowd for most of the time ... which was a pity.

then on our way home we stopped off at the Botanical Gardens where there was a Bonsai Exhibition - these trees are just amazing ... I so wish I could afford one, but apart from the expense I know I would kill it within a week so it won't be on my list of things I need - LOL

Then I took this great photo of my two men sitting on a bench, it always amazes me when I see how James is so much like Jon and how their mannerisms are so alike.

So this coming week I going to London to spend time with my family before the funeral on Wednesday, then when I get back will be spending some quality time with the family, before making my trips up to Leeds to be with my best friend, her son (my godson) and his sister & her family, and hope that we can all deal with what is happening the best we can.
