GoGo CJ 2 ... Use it up. 8 - 12

I've finally got around to taking photos of my 2nd CJ that I did over on the Scrapagogo Site. The idea with doing a CJ with GoGo is to use the kits that come each month. So this was started late last year, and should have consisted on 10 entries, but one person had to drop out anyway this is. I think I've got the kits in the right order.

My CJ was all about techniques, in my quest to improve my creativity I wanted to find out what techniques that other crafters used, and this book is jammed packed with ideas and techniques that I can use.

More Holiday Snaps ...

Thanks for your kind comments on the previous pics, much appreciated. I've added some more - not in any order but I've added notes about some of them.

To answer some of the questions, Sheringham is a lovely fishing town, the walks over the cliffs towards neighbouring town is great, as is walking along the beach. It is busy in the town and on certains parts of the beach, but if you walk about 5 minutes either way from the centre, the beaches are desserted, the 3 of us have a section of the beach all to ourselves, with people walking along the sea edge from time to time, which is so peaceful.

I first came here with the family for Nana 80th birthday (11 years ago), and vowed not to fall into the 'habit' of coming back year after year (it was an Ashton tradition to visit here each year when Jon was younger), but to be honest I love it and its me who is always booking the next visit and the next, and the next. And I know it we could afford it I would definiating get a holiday home down here. I know it a big thing to have an holiday home aboard but what is wrong with good old England eh!

So here they are ...

Watching the Liftboat being launched.

On the wall of the flat is a set of black & White photos of the beach/sky, so I decided to do my own. I've actually taken the pics in b/w something I never do, but decided to give it a go, I've also taken some in colour and see which look the best when I get them printed.

Jon James on the beach

My yummy treat with MIL - A large White Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream - Yummy ...

On Thursday it rained all day and it was so cold that we even put the central heating on, anyway we decided that we had to go for a short walk along the front, just to get out of the flat and get some fresh air, James was not impressed has you can see ... must admit it was bracing but refreshing.

A few sights along the beach

Look closely on the following pics, and you will see some fishes on the 1st one with the bread they are at the top. I wanted to try and get a photo of these fishes, so dropped a crumb in (I know it looks a lot bigger than a crumb ...) and the fish came towards it. When I've more time I going to see if I can enhance them so that they stand out more.

Bye for now, thanks for stopping by ...

A few photos from my holiday ...

I'm away this week, but managed to get my laptop to work in the flat we are in, so I thought I would share some of the photos I've taken over the last few days.

Sheringham Beach

When we got here, we had a picnic then went for a walk in the wood, James is getting really good at taking photos - I'm obviously teaching him well - LOL

The Poppy Line Railway - I'm completely hooked on steam trains, I just love seeing them, James is not too keen anymore so might have to have a journey on my own.

We managed to have a picnic on the beach, well not a full blown picnic but sandwiches ...

An evening stroll to enjoy the sunset

We did a long walk from Sheringham to Weybourne along the cliff, where the views are stunning ...

We ended up at Weybourne Beach.

Just having a stroll next to the waters edge

Right better go now, hope you like my pics.

Back soon with more ...

Use it Up Nos. 1 -7, Studio Calico & Scrapagogo Layotus

Finally got around to taking photos on the layouts I did earlier this week, and also the two I did this afternoon.

I was meant to be doing housework, but J&J went out for a bike ride and I got the hump being left in doing housework, so I down tooled and went to my craft room and did two layouts*.

But first I will share my Use it Up Items, this one is for my Sister in law, who has recently had an operation. The paper, ribbon and stamp are Stampin' Up and lightly coloured with pro-markers.

No. 1

And these were for a card challenge over on Studio Calico (SC) site. The stamp is a Greeting Farm set, coloured with Pro-markers. I'm not sure what the papers are, some from my stash, which I felt was just perfect for the boy stamps.

No. 2

No. 3 - Cosmo Cricket papers, Crafty Individuals Stamp, Stampin' Up Ribbon

No. 4 - Cosmo Cricket paper, Magnolia Stamp, Stampin' Up Ribbon & Word Stamp.

No. 5 - Crate Paper, Jillibean Soup Alphas,

This layout is based on a sketch from Shimelle - Something for Almost Nothing recent class.

No. 6 - October Afternoon - Fly a Kite,

I cut the box that the donuts came in and punched the name out with my EK Success Punch, which just fitted perfectly.

I also had some stickers from PaperChase that had these cute donuts.
