Gogo Getaway - Part 3 - Class Layouts

So here are my class layouts for last weekends retreat, when I eventually got my class layouts out I realised that I didn't have as much to finish off as I first through, it was mainly adding title - which is definiately my 'bug bear' when it come to completely layouts.

Facets & Fancies designed by Sam

We used Tim Holtz facets with cut out paper details.

Chip In - designed by Sheena

I have loads of chipboard shapes and never before throught about embossing them, so this was a new one on me.

All Cracked Up by Eileen

A chipboard clock, that we distress with Tim Holtz crackle glaze and the inked over the top.

S.W.A.L.K by Sam

Twinkle Toes by Sheena

I'm not a great fan of Webster's Pages, but I alway love the final results even if it means that I have to do alot of cutting out. As you can see my layout is not very 'twinkly' only because I don't like glitter but I do love this layout.

The last one of my classes - a lovely simple class but with plenty of detail.

I did miss one class which is a mini book, but hopefully I will be able to finish it at the weekend.

I hope you like them as much as I do, each one equally enjoyable to do and I learnt something new is each class.
Thanks to all the GoGo DT girls for their effort in providing us with some fantastic classes and showing us how to use some of the many products on the market.

I did manage to complete some other layouts whilst away, which I will add soon.

Thanks for stopping by ...

GoGo Getaway - Part 2

OK bloggers, my 2nd installment of my Getaway weekend. I've not got around to taking photos of my layouts yet, mainly due to the fact that some still need to be finished - LOL, so I just want to upload these photos of the Getaway.

Scrapagogo is a kit company, so they don't have a large selection of 'stock' but for the Getaways they do pull out all the stops to make there shop as good as anything, and boy they didn't disappoint. They have a large selection of the new goodies from CHA 2011. They are so good at guessing what we all WANT, yes I did say want, its never need - LOL.

Zing Embossing Powder (I managed to get some of colours I wanted - now I just need to use them), Jenni Bowlin Ink pads, Cloud punches, Tim Holtz mini stapler, Ephiany Craft Tool and bubbles (I was able to stock up of the bubbles)

The lovely KI Memories Calender Papers - and no I didn't get any more, but I did manage to get some of the scribble words (not on photos has in my bag at the time - LOL).

The new ranges from Crate Paper

Jellibean Soup Collection - this collection I did get some of, which surprise me really and I've even made a layout

Webster Pages - Love the look of these but just don't know what to do with it.

Sassafass

They also had a section that had older products and was reduced - so you could pick up a great bargain.

Then on Saturday night we had a PJ party - it wasn't compulsory but most of us took part.

Here we are - joining in the fun

Then the weekend wouldn't be complete without Sam, Sheena and me having out photo taken together. We did do a great running towards the camera one, but it is out of focus which is a shame. (note to self - take tripod next time).

Just me amongst the daffodils - taken by Cazzy

I had such a great weekend, and these ladies, along with Diane, Charlotte and Jo made it so.

Thanks girls and I hope to see you all very soon.

Thanks for visiting and please come back soon.

GoGo Getaway - Part 1

I have just spent a FANTASTIC weekend at the GoGo Getaway, so I'll start with my first day - I arrived mid afternoon on Friday, and had a quick walk around the hotel ground until the rest of the gang turned up.

So here are a few snaps

my room, very comfy but every so hot ... why are hotel rooms so hot ??? I even slept with the window open - and it didn't seem to make any difference.

the tree house.

view of the manor house from the tree house.

the daffodil where out in full bloom, and the whole area just looked like a carpet of daffodils. I had some photos taken by Kirsty Wiseman sitting amongst these daffodils which I'll upload when I get them.

Then it was time to register and because I'd booked this retreat at last years retreat, I got this ... a great reminder from another great weekend.

Then at each of our places, we had a nice basket with mojo sweets.

The welcome from Janice & Lorraine and the GoGo DT Girls.

I will be back with more photos of the weekend, and my classes towards the end of the week.

Thanks for stopping by ...

GoGo Getaway Weekend

Well I'm on my way to the GoGo Getaway Retreat at Theobald Park, Cheshunt, and I'm all ready for a weekend of scrapping and laughing and some me time.

One of the pre-challenges was to make a name badge and if possible use a GoGo stamp image somewhere on the badge. So here is what I produced.

Producted used : GoGo sewing stamp set, Maya Road Sewing Chipboard, Cosmo Cricket - Material Girl papers; twine, American Craft Thickers; Promarker pens.

The 'necklace' was part of a trim that came in the kit which I just cut to make the 'necklace', a piece of trim and a small button from my stash.

If I get time over the weekend I will upload along the way.

So for now, have a great weekend everyone - I know I will.

Catch Up Time ...

These days I'n always seems to be trying to get myself organised and catch up with things, so here are a few layouts I done over the past few weeks and not got round to either finishing them, or uploading them.

This is the one layout I did at this months Skrapz crop, not a great photo (way before I knew about scrapping - LOL0, but a great memory. Nana, to the left of the photo, is now to fraile to come on holiday with us now and James was about 2 years old when this photo was taken - seems like yesterday.

Products - Cardstock - Stampin' Up; Patterned Papers - Cosmo Cricket - Ciria 1934 Collection;

I've also got the new Tim Holtz mini dies

Then over on Studio Calico blog site, a few weeks ago they had a sketch that used strips of patterned paper and a photo, as usual I was too late to upload for the challenge, but did this layouts anyway using the Studio Calico March 2011 kit.

The bee stamp is part of the kit, didn't think I would use it, but it does look good, have inked with Jenni Bowlins - Chicken Feed ink and clear embossing powder. And also used the large bubble stamp that my scrapping friend Laura kindly gave to me. I just stamped straight onto the cardstock with Jenni Bowlin - Seed Packet ink.

Also, cut some of the same patterned papers and added onto the paper for added depth, and used the fabrips - a strange product but can be ripped, cut, punched and more. But seeing it was the first time to use it I just cut it - LOL

This one has been on my desk for weeks, don't know why it has taken me so long to finish, especially has its a sketch. I used Pagemap2, p 81 sketch and Studio Calico October 2010 kit,

At the moment I'm getting ready for my next retreat at the weekend with Scrapagogo. Really looking forward to it, not only will I get to spent a few hours with my two lovely GoGo DT girls

but I also spend some time with my scrapping buddies who always make the weekend fab as well as loads and loads of laughter, and I hope some layouts.

I've got seven classes booked and just trying to sort out what scrapping supplies I need to take with me. They have also started to put up peeks of what they will have in the shop, which is just yummy as usual, so no doubt I will be coming home with even more stash than when I went - LOL. Has explained previously I've had to cancel my subscription to them as well as my October 2011 Retreat booking, but fingers crossed this won't be my last Retreat with them.

Twisted Sketches No. 92

This is the sketch from Twisted Sketches - and the twist was to use brads and a long title.

Here is my take for this weeks sketch I used the new My Mind's Eye - Stella & Rose Collection.

Here are my brads which are from MME Lil' Robot collection.

I also used one of the new Tim Holtz Texture Fade folders - with the 'J' representing J & J initials. Used on Kraft cardstock and inked over with Jenni Bowlins Malked Milk ink.

Long title - using American Craft Thickers and October Afternoon Mini Alphas.

The title represents that we had a great, even though a very long walk from Sheringham to Cormer along the beach last Easter, no-thing unique but we all enjoyed it and this is one of my favourite photos of the day.

Sarah's Card Sketch Challenge

Another sketch challenge this time from Sarah's Cards here

So here is my take on the above sketch.

Products used: Patterned Papers - October Afternoon (OA)- Campfire, Seaside; Jillibean Soup (mini houses); OA -Seaside Alphas; OA - mini alphas; OA - stickers, American Craft - Ribbon; Tim Holtz mini staples.

Add the ribbon in waves to represent the sea.

Added these for interest, even though they are birdhouse, they do remind me of beach huts.
