Holiday Mini Books

In a few weeks time my In-laws will be going on holiday to New Zealand, so I did 2 mini books for my niece and nephew - I not sure how much time they will have so I did a simple version that they can just add a word or two each day.  Here is what I made

This album is for my 8 yr old nephew, I used a Maya Road album that I had.  I did the title myself on my Cameo and the cut file of NewZealand was supplied by Studio Calico in one of their classes.

I did several pages that fold out, where he can add a postcard, journalling or a photo

then I added some envelopes, that I stamped, these are for him to add any bits and pieces he might pick up on the way

Accompanying this album, is two plastic wallets, the first is small

and it contains : jounralling cards, a mini pen, washi tape,

A close up of the journalling cards

and some fancy paper clips.

the 2nd one, is this one

and contains a mixture of die cuts from my cameo, a set of mini alphas.

and these A5 sheets, as you can see I've stamped the days of the week at the top and he can use them to  add more journalling, and insert them into the envelopes at the back of his album.

And this is the one I did for my 4 yr old niece, I also did the same plastic wallets for my niece.

This is a simple 6 x6 version- cardstock stamped and room to add photos, postcards etc.

the stamp on this page is a CoCoDaisy one that I borrowed from my friend Sue.

I hope they like them and that they can find time to add a few notes along the way  about their amazing adventure.

Toad Hall Layouts

These are the layouts that I did whilst at Toad Hall, last weekend.

One of me and my two scrapping buddies, taken at a retreat last year.

I used the new Amy Tangerine stitching templates, love the feather design.

I love this photo

Love you More - Studio Calico Darling Dear Collection.

These next two are some filler pages for my Document 2012 Album, I decided that my 2012 albums didn't seem to flow, so I reverted back to my 2011 album format of having a cover page and a calendar page - fortunately I've still got 12 calendar sheets left and I can complete them and add when I get time.

This is one of Ali Edwards die cuts, its very delicate but looks lovely.

Another layout with Sheena and Sam, and a gorgeous die cut

Whilst I was away I did add some finishing touches to 2 mini books which I will upload early next week.

I know 4 layouts is not alot considering I was there for 3 day, but I did help out with the Silhouette Cameo, out of the 7 who where there, 6 of us had Cameo and I think all on my advice so I just couldn't not help them, or show them what to do could I - lol x.

I'll be back soon with my mini books.

Toad Hall - a Scrapping Weekend

I've jut spent a lovely weekend with my scrapping friends at Toad Hall, in Shropshire.

We started our weekend in Much Wenlock,

but before I meet the girls for lunch I took the chance to have a wander on my own around Wenlock Priory.

The field next to the Priory was full of lambs, most of them snuggling together to keep warm.

then we had lunch at the Copper Kettle, which was yummy

then onto Toad Hall for a weekend of scrapping fun !!!

This was my 5th time coming here and we are always greeted with this - such a lovely gesture

This was my room

This was the crop room

Again we had a Caterer, but this time we brought our own desserts, OMG - this raspberry white chocolate cheesecake was yummy!  made my the lovely Sue, very much appreciated and totally on the menu for next time.

We took a few photos, but not has many has I normally do

As a thank you for organising the weekend the girls gave me a voucher so that I could get some seriously gorgeous wool, now I have not excuse not to crochet something, so what this space.

I will be back soon with the layouts I completed.

Thanks for stopping by ...

Better late than never ...

I've been meaning to post these layouts for weeks now, at least 3 weeks, and things just keep getting in the way.  Anyway, here they are

Produced Used : Studio Calico - January 2013 kit

This Jenni Bowlin stenscil paper has been in my stash just waiting to be used, I added patterned paper between the C and the J as they are our initials.

The next two layouts I did at my last crop.

These photos make me smile, they were taken last year at a retreat.  It was my idea to have the serious pose.  The ideas of doing a 12x12 layout and the divided page protection I got from one of the Glitter Girls videos - a great idea for adding more photos.

Products used : October Afternoon - Midway Collection

but has you can see it didn't last that long - I love spending time with these girls

Close up - the arrow on one of the patterned papers was ideal to use as an indicator.

Products used: Studio Calico Darling Dear collection.  The design of this layout came from another Glitter Girl page.

And finally, this is a sneak of a layout that will be appearing in the next issue of Scrapbook Magazine.

Thanks for stopping by.
