Scrapbook Magazine No. 72

This is my layout that was published in this months Scrapbook Magazine No. 72

I received this page kit from Scrap Angel, link here

as well as using the kit, I added the following:-

Jenni Bowlin Ink - Weather Vane
Jenni Bowlin mini kraft tickets
Studio Calico Mr Huey Mist - Lemondade, Clay, Schoolhouse
Studio Calico Stamp Set
Studio Calico Wood Veneer
Arrow Paper Clip
Bakers Twine
Paper Dollie
Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher
Silhouette Cameo

and this is what I came up with

A close up of the Silhouette die cut

the flair button, and mini tickets

I loved working with this kit and it was abit of a challenge to use the pink tones for a boy layout, but by changing the photo to black and white the layouts came together easily.

Why not get a copy of the magazine to see what the other DT team has come up with using the same products.

OMG ....

Take a look at this layout ...

yahh.... I was chosen as one of the runners up for Scrapbooker of the Year 2011 run by Scrapbook Magazine. I was and I still am blown away.

I found out when I was away in November with my Scrappy mates, what a great time to receive such good news, I was really chuffed I wanted to tell the world, but couldn't until after the 12th December when the magazine goes on sale.

I did add some hidden journalling behind the photo - basically just saying how I felt and what it means to me.

A few days after acknowledging my thanks, I received my 1st box of goodies. Still waiting on Box 2, which is a daylight magnetifing lens, and also Scrapbook Max (digital) to come.

This is one of the layouts that I entered, not OTT which is not my style, just one that I liked and had various technique on.

I will be featuring in an issue next year in the 'Introducing the Design Team Member', and I will be able to share some sneaks with you in the new year.

Thanks to the girls at Toad Hall for making receiving the news special, especially H for her lovely PR work - lol.

It's finally happened ...

I've been published ... yes, I was asked by Scrapbook Magazine to take part in the 3 layouts for £10, using limited supplies. As you can see from my previously layouts I love using various punches, in all shapes and sizes, templates, hand stitching, so this would be a very hard challenge to do, not using punches, thickers, etc.

Well here the ones I produced using a Crate Paper Collection pack, which happened to be on sale at A Trip Down Memory Lane, when I was looking for papers etc to complete this challenge, I also used a Cosmo Cricket alpha sheets, and some free ribbon that came with my order.

So instead of using any lovely thickers, I drew around some alphabets that I had and added some of the ribbon to the letter. So I've added you a closer look.

A also draw around some chipboard butterflies that I had and inked the edges.

these stickers where on the Cosmo Cricket alpha sheets - which I won at my Bromsgrove crop raffle.

This was my main scrapping resolution for the year, after having one of my layouts excepted by Scrapbook Inspirations before it folded, which left me very disappointed, I was overjoyed to be asked to take part in this challenge, so this has just made my month.

I hope you like my layouts and I would love to hear what you think, so please leave me a comment.

Thanks for stopping by ...
