Project Life - April 2013

So I'm back with my April 2013 Project Life pages, another full month, a week away with the family, day visit to London, Harry Potter Studio Tour and a few days in between, so here we go.

So 1st-6th April started in Sheringham, which I've added extra pages.  A chip in the windscreen that happened on our way home, new specs and my 1st trip to Merry Hill by myself - yeah !!! now I know the way I can go under my own steam.

My Lovely Studio Calico kit, a visit to my bud Sheena, my layout as a Guest Designer, and watch Maraget Thatchers funeral.

Then I added some photos from my week in Sheringham

Then our trip to London - Kings Cross,  Platform 9 3/4, Carnaby Street

Super quick visit to Big Ben, then onto Convent Gardens

Then we visited the Harry Potter Studio Tour, which we loved and will definitely go back again.

(noticed a photo missing - pops !!!)

Love the new stitch template from Amy Tangerine,

Then onto the end of the month: Meal with friends, crop and the relaxing in my neighbours hot tub.

A visit to Botanical Gardens;

I spotted some Bullfinches in the garden, I only managed to see them because some Magpies where 'drive bombing' a Black Birds nest, and out of nowhere I had about 12 - 15 small birds flying around and trying to stop the Magpies, I've heard of that happening before but never seen it - then stayed around for about 1hr - Unfortunately the Black Bird nest didn't survive.

James was choosen by his school to meet some of the Aston Villa Team Players - and he managed to get some close up shots; me getting prepared for my holiday - more on this in my May pages.

I'm loving this process of only spending a few hours a week on my project life pages, its working out really well and I've found that I want to scrap 12x12 more and more - which is definitely the rights  way forward.

Thanks for stopping by.

My Girlie Holiday - Benidorm 2013

I just come back from spending 5 days with my besties in Benidorm.  It is place we have visited over the past 6 years, for our girly get-together.  We had set the date way back in December 2012 but only booked it the week before we flew out.  I never booked an holiday so closed to actually flying out so my nerves weren't the best leading upto me travelling up to Preston.

(Apologies for a photo heavy post)

So my holiday started with my friends daughter doing my toe nails, she only 12 and really good at it.

The drive up to Preston was a nightmare, with big lorries, rain, hail, surface water, so I stopped off for a coffee and to re-charge.

Then I headed to the cemetery to visit my mums grave - where the sun had come out and the sky was blue.

Then onto my friends and we went out for lunch,

then my friend gave me a manicure

Has our flight was at 6.10 in the morning we had a very early start ... 2.45 am but the time went quickly

and before we knew it we where boarding (this wasn't out plane, ours was round the corner and I couldn't get a good photo).

Then we where airborne and off ....

View from my window

There was lots of these ...

A couple of these

And even more of these

We did some shopping in Benidorm Town

Night out (outside out hotel)

In Morgan's Tavern

Do you recognise this ...its the bar that they film ' Benidorm' in ... they where actually filming whilst we were there, didn't see any celebs from the show.

This was the view from my sun lounger on the beach.

We had a stroll along the prom on the Saturday morning and there was an pilate class being held on the beach - and no I didn't join in.

there was several sand models along the beach - I think these are just amazing.

Then at the end of the beach in Benidorm Town there was  a sing along - love it.

this was taken on our last morning, we had pack and was waiting for the coach to the airport so a few last minute photos was needed.

Apologies again for the post being photo heavy.  We are going to try another destination on our next trip, not decided where yet, but who know we might end up back here.

Thanks for stopping by, will be uploading my April PL pages in the next few days.

Goodbye and God Bless, Nana

This morning we got the call that our Nana had passed, this past week has been very sad, we have kept going as you do in these situations, but knowing her life was coming to an end was just heartbreaking for us all.

I'm so glad that I got to spend some time with her at the beginning of the week and say my goodbyes then.

Rest In Peace, Nana
Thank you for everything,
we all love and will miss you loads. xxx

Project Life - March 2013

Here are my March Project Life pages.

A photo shoot with James, has I needed some new photos for a Retreat at the end of the month, new PJ's, and lunch with friends to celebrate Morag birthday.

Mother's Day gifts, a Dentist visit, Red Nose day,

A close up of the die cut that I designed myself.

A fun packed weekend spent in Warrington at Sarah's Cards Last Retreat.

Views of the shop; my class layouts, saying thank-you and goodbye to Sarah & Leanne; meeting an on-line friend;

Seeing a blanket of crocus on my daily walk; dentist visit for me; the selection of a New Pope;  Options day at school; my new Selphy and a day at the NEC Hobbycraft show.

Close up of my Selphy and the 1st print I did.

Then more snow; in the envelope at the top right - I've included a copy of my 1st commission cheque as a member of the DT for Scrapbook Magazine; Happy Birthday to Julie; James check-up; 100% attendance certificate;

Normally my holiday are normally just in a certain month, this month it spread over the end of March and the beginning of April.  So these are the 1st few days of the holiday and next month I will add the rest.

I've now upto date with my pages and at the moment I feel better by allocating a few hours per week for my PL pages I've been able to complete some scrapbooking pages, which I will upload in the next few days.

Scrapbook Magazine No. 72

This is my layout that was published in this months Scrapbook Magazine No. 72

I received this page kit from Scrap Angel, link here

as well as using the kit, I added the following:-

Jenni Bowlin Ink - Weather Vane
Jenni Bowlin mini kraft tickets
Studio Calico Mr Huey Mist - Lemondade, Clay, Schoolhouse
Studio Calico Stamp Set
Studio Calico Wood Veneer
Arrow Paper Clip
Bakers Twine
Paper Dollie
Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher
Silhouette Cameo

and this is what I came up with

A close up of the Silhouette die cut

the flair button, and mini tickets

I loved working with this kit and it was abit of a challenge to use the pink tones for a boy layout, but by changing the photo to black and white the layouts came together easily.

Why not get a copy of the magazine to see what the other DT team has come up with using the same products.
