Friends visited and some crafting ...

My friends visited from Preston at the weekend, and we had a great time, first it was opening their albums and photo frames (which I forgot to take a photo of), there were really pleased with them and then I showed them my article in Scrapbook Magazine and it was great to get ohh and ahhs from them, especially when they are not crafters, and being life-long friends they will tell me the truth - so it boosted my confidence by their comments.

Then we had a trip into the City, for shopping and lunch then back home, to watch X-Factor and then back in to the City to visit some bars, we had a great weekend and I do miss them.

So onto some crafting, I did this the other weeks, but was waiting for the mini alphas stickers to arrive.

Supplies - October Afternoon - Seaside Collection,

I also used my Tim Holtz Rosette Die and added a sticker beach ball

This one used Scrapagogo September kit, the cloud idea was from a layout done by Lorraine, but I went one further and drew round them onto the cardstock, then 3D them over the shape.

Studio Calico - September kit - This it had a full packet of Maya Road framed chipboard in, which I glimmer misted and added the same colours to the cardstock, added different patterned papers to the back.

And my final project for now, are some Stampin' Up Cards, I'm trying to use my Stampin' Up products more and this is just to show case what I've been doing. So here are a few cards I done.

A Trip Down Memory Lane Bingo Challenge

Over on ATDML blog they are running a bingo challenge that ends at the end of June, so as usual I'm on the last minute but here are what I did. Its just a great idea where you have to choose a line of 4 either going down or across the grid, and add them to your layout.

Kid @ Play - I've gone for : - circles on the page, multiple photos, mist/paint and add a something metal.

Use my Tim Holtz timework masks, and glimmer mists, punched out circles, metal brad butterfly on bottom set of circles.

Then I did this, So choose the line use Thickers, something metal, distress something, use a b/w photo.

Both layouts I've used past Scrapagogo Kits.

Just stuff ...

Hi all, just a quick update on my layouts that I've done over the past few weeks. As some of you know I rubbish at coming up with titles for my layouts, so some of them have been sitting on my desk begging me to finish them off with the title - lol.

So I've finally done them, so here goes, the first was a sketch challenge set by Scrapagogo - Create & Scrap blog, I think it was May.

Scrapagogo April 2010 kit

This is one of the final photos of James and his two friends together at the Summer Football Camp 2009 before they all went to their secondary schools, I saw the 3 of them together the other day, and every through they looked so more grown up they still had a friendship that I hope will continue for years to come, it was great to see.

Scrapagogo March 2010 Kit

This photo brought back great memories of one of our visits to Legoland and the times we had to go back and fro' through the waterfall trying our best not to get wet.

Scarlet Lime January 2010 kit

October Afternoon - Fly a kite - Collection

Close up of my new label punch, I had saw this done on layouts, and throught what a brilliant idea to use the punch other than using it has a traditional label.

Then I've finally cut into my Scrapagogo June 2010 kit, and just love it, I know, I know I alway say it but these kits just get better and better. I just love the American Craft - Splatts, which came in the kit, I wasn't sure how I would use them of my layouts, but they are so versatile and I love them. Inspiration for this layout came from two layouts by Sheena and Nicola (Scrapagogo DT) so thanks girls for sharing your great ideas.

Scrapagogo June 2020 Kit

In February half term, me and James went to London for the day, and boy did it pour, we got completely soaked, but saying that we did have a good day,

Scrapagogo June 2010 kit, stamp and Hybrid

And finally, for today, for all of you who have been asking me, Yes I am still going to be subscribing to Scrapagogo (I love 'em) and hopefully attending their day events/workshop as well as the next two retreat, but talking to my two scrapping buddies, I decided to try and save some money I'm not going be buying any other products other than my kit, well thats what I'm saying now - lol, but you know me when I see the pretty paper collections I just get carried away. But my plan is to stick with my kits and when I've got them if I want to add to any of the papers in them, I will be getting a few of the sheets etc - IYKWIM.

So come 1st July I will be doing my 'Use It Up' personal challenge - using up all my GoGo kits and paper collections that I've got, and trying not to buy any other papers other than what comes in my kits.

So yes, Scrapagogo is my main kit and will be for as long as I can afford it. So you will continue to see layouts on here and hear me raving about them for months to come - LOL.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment, which are much appreciated ....
