Project Life - July 2012

My July Project Life pages

So I did this page for my July covering page, adding a couple of my cameo die cuts and wood veneer.

Starting the month off by seeing an awful film 'Rock of Ages' starring Tom Cruise - total waste of time, my final meeting of the year as a school governor, helping Year 11 with interview techniques (very interesting)

Lovely die-cut

Waking up at 5am to go to the NEXT sale, DH said I was mad, but I did get some good bargains, watching my friends daughter at a schynoised swimming competition, her team and the rest of the teams competing were just amazing, her team eventually won 2 medals.

James having an eye test at the hospital, growing some redcurrents.

James's loves just going out to the garden and picking strawberries, 'my pigeon' sunning itself, new Kelly Purkey stamps

Instead of making myself a mini album of my weekend in Preston, I add the same photos to my PL pages.

Arriving at Preston train station, meeting the girls for lunch and a catch-up.

getting ready and a meal out

Then onto a cocktail bar, where we had one or two cocktails and loads of laughs.

then I was heading home, so a view from the train, after lunch with Christine. So a great weekend was had by all.

Use of my new Kelly Purkey stamp - love it.

James last day of school, my weekend survival kit, meeting my cousin for a meal in the City.

Got a new set of stamps from Studio Calico - all about food yeah !!! find it here

And my final page - lunch date with friends (Julie & Millie), Jon & James (rare photo of Jon), watching Ice Age 4 in 3D.

Another cool cameo die cut - oh I'm loving this machine.

Project Life - June 2012

My first page, getting the hang of crocheting and the Jubilee Celebrations:

James new Villa Top, meeting up with Sheena,

Our anniversary, recommended reading, watching a open-air production in the City with Julie.

yes ! I read all 3 books in less than a week - lol

James and me having an afternoon treat, me one year after my Op.

Sudden Downpour = flash flooding - road blocks.

and my final page for this month was going to see the Olympic Torch coming to Birmingham

I am doing covering pages for each month, but my June page is being published, so will upload later.

Please pop back in a few days to see my July pages.

Preston Mini Book

I did this little photo album for my friends after my recent visit back to Preston last month.

I was originally going to just send the photos through the post, but then decided to just do a quick, and I mean quick album/mini book, I wanted to send it to them before I went on my holiday, because I knew if it waited till I got back it would never get done. So the whole album does not have much embellishment has I would have liked, but did include some stamping and the occasional wood veneer, and of course a few cameo die cuts.

I did 3 albums all the same, so the process was very quick. Kraft card stock cut 7x5, and I did a little card to accompany each album.

Basically I added a strip of patterned paper down the outside of each page, add the photo and some stamping, embellishments.

Cameo die

I always have such a great time when I'm with my friends and more than a few laughs so it was good to capture our day together.
