No goodbyes ...

I've just spent 6 hours visiting my friend in hospital, we cried and laughed, but at the end we didn't say goodbye. I hope I'm able to visit her again before the end.

Even more layouts

I managed to complete 3 more layouts with the sketches from Studio Calico National Scrapbooking Day Event.

All the layouts are made from Studio Calico March 2011 kits.

This was the sketch challenge by Susan Weinroth, incorporating hand stitching challenge by Davinie/Kimberley

Products used: MME - Stella & Rose; Cosmo Cricket (CC) - Social Club; Punches - Martha Stewart (MS), Fiskars, Stampin' Up; Bazzil In-stitch template; Tim Holtz (TH) mini stapler, American Crafts - Thickers

I hand stitched the sun rays, and of course I had to use my cloud punches, and a chipboard heart from Maya Road.

I also hand stitched a design at the bottom of the page.

My 2nd one is a Sketch Challenge by Nicole Harper.

Products Used: Cosmo Cricket - Social Club; Ki -Over the Rainbow; Studio Calico Design papers; MME Stella & Rose; SC Bee stamp, Mustard zing; Jenni Bowlin chipboard stars; AC Thickers; From Stash - Cardstock - Stampin' Up; Glimmer Mist - Riptide (on stars); Punch - Stampin' Up, Woodware.

And the final one for this weekend, I used the same sketch as above but I turned the layout around.

Products used: SC designed paper; CC - Salt Air, MME - Stella & Rose; punches - EK Success, MS butterfly; AC Thickers. From stash - Maya Road Bingo tiles; Sassfalass stickers; Making Memories - mini alphas.

And here are a couple of cards that I done.

A quick and simple wedding card, I've apertured the front of the card and put the design on the inside.

Inside of the card.

A simple one for my friends 50th birthday at the weekend, Embossed with a Cuttlebug folder

And a simliar one for a friend daughter, put adding a mini magnolia coloured with pro-markers. A off-cut of this card was used on my layout here

National Scrapbooking Day

Over at Studio Calico blog, they are having various challenges to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day. These are 3 of the layouts that I've done so far.

I used Studio Calico 'Singing in the Rain' Kit.

This was a sketch challenge, but included the stamping and hand stitching challenge as well.

designed by Waleska

hand stitching - challenge by Davinie/Kimberley

as well as the stamping challenge by Laura Kurz
I used my Zing - leaf Embossing powder on the Maya Road Chipboard

This one is a sketch challenge by Tina

I've also used stamp on this layout.

And the last one is for Kelly Purkey/Stephanie Howell challenge, which was to include 4 or more photos on one single page layout.

Hope you all have been having a scrapping day, thanks for stopping by ...

Twisted Sketches No. 99

This is my take on this weeks sketch which the twist was straight

No. 99 - Straight

Products Used: Cardstock - Stampin' Up; Papers/Stickers - Echo Park - Playground; Alppabets - American Craft; Punches - Martha Stewart; Mr Huey - Applejack.

Again I've used Echo Park Playground, I only got 3 sheets and the sticker sheet and I've found that this was enough to satisfy my craving for the new products, so who knows maybe I will get new products like this in the future and not get the all range and having it sit around in my craft room not being used.

Twisted SKetches No. 98

What with the Bank Holidays over the past few weeks I'm behind with doing and uploading my sketches, but this is my take and No. 98 sketch which should include 'paint' but I used mist instead, but my way of thinking is that 'mist' is 'a sort of paint' so it should count - LOL

No. 98 - Paint

I've called it 'Hold on Tight' I have no idea why James was holding on to the roundabout like this, but it did make me laugh, especially has he was the only one on it, and it was going round at a snails pace.

Products Used: Cardstock -Stampin' Up ; Patterned paper -Echo Park -Playground Papers and stickers; American Craft Thickers, October Afternoon - mini alphas; Mr Huey Mist - Classic Calico & Applejack; Martah Stewart border punch; Cuttlebug 'Birthday' Embossing Folder.

On the back of the tag I've included some journalling.

This is an off-cut from a card I had done earlier and was on my table (cards in an upcoming post).

Holiday Photos - Part 3 - Pensthrope

had another visit to Pensthrope Nature Reserve and it was just as good as last year, again I went on my own, which didn't bother me has I was able to do what I wanted.

The views over the lakes are just stunning

Now isn't this a great bird feeder ... luckly they had them in the shop so I was able to get one for my garden.

I love how these look 'candy floss'

Now ain't these little birds cute

Right that all for now from my holiday photos, I'm sure that you will see some of these and others on my upcoming layouts.

Thanks for looking ... and come back soon

Holiday Photos - Part 2

More photos

Managed to get this shot of a seagull after it has just caught a crab.

And there is even time to have a game of golf.

As well as play fighting on the beach.

One of the best photos of the holiday, with Cromer pier in the background and Jon walking ahead as usual.

J&J resting before we got the bus back to Sheringham.

An early evening stroll along the beach to watch the sunset, and James throwing stones.
