Catch up and CJ Bootcamp 2010

Right I know, I know its been a while since my last blog post, don't know why just not got around to blogging, so this might be a long one.

I've been really bad over the past few weeks, and got a few bits and pieces regarding stash, some lovely papers from a new company called 'Echo Park Papers" from ModScrap, the range is very bright and summery and have done 3 layouts so far with it. I ended up getting the complete pack, because it gave me the alphas and elements.

Taken on our honeymoon in Barbados

Another one from our Honeymoon.

Then I finally cut into my Scrapagogo May kit, which is always fab and did these two layouts, photos where taken in April at the Botanical Gardens

Got the idea for the stitching over the ribbon from one of Sheena's layouts - thanks love.

Sorry for the poor quality of the photos, but you will get the basic idea.

Then on Saturday I got a day pass to CJ Bootcamp in Daventry, ably assisted by Lesley, which was about 1 hours drive away. She was running a weekend retreat about photography and offered me a day pass, the day was well worth it, I learnt alot of techniques from the sessions, and hopefully I can start to put them into practice.

As one lady pointed out on the day 'you don't have a 'proper camera' do you'?, well yes I do, I have a camera that serves my purpose and that I love, they all tended to have the ones you change the lens and weighs a ton, but I guess if CJ didn't think I could have learnt something she wouldn't have invited me to join them.

Apart from this comment, I met some lovely ladies and learned loads : how to set up a studio (something that I would never do) but I found it very interesting, how to take photos of a baby, take better wedding shots, and set up various shots. I didn't take as much photos has I would have like but did get the basic ideas, but what I got I'm really pleased with.

Would I go on the full weekend if available, well yes I would, would I upgrade my camera, yes, oh yes, if I could afford to. Anyway, these are a few of the photos taken on Saturday.

this is me at the bottom right side of the 2010, taken by CJ

These are just a few of the shots I took ... hope you like them

So I hope you like my catch up and I'll hopefully be back soon.
