The music border is cut with my cameo as well as the music notes.

I used the 'music symbol' as an S for added interest.

Santa Sack from October Afternoon

Over on the October Afternoon (OA) blog, they had/have a Santa Sack Sale, information here. So has I just loooove OA I know I just had to have one, and has most you know what I have Julie also needs - lol.

The idea was to get one box a week for the 4 weeks that it was running, but lack of funds on my part only allowed me to purchase 1 box. Well it arrived, last week and I received a letter from ParcelForce informing me that because of the weight of the parcel that I need to make an excess payment before they would delivery it. So even though it was great value it just bumped the cost of postage up for both of us, which did put a damper on things, but only till I opened my box - WOW - I just love it all.

25 sheets of 12x12 papers - some older, a few newer one - 5 & Dime, Rocket Age, Boarding Pass, SideWalk, but all of it yummy.

8x8 paper pack - arrived at the right time to use for my JYC Album.

Word & Label stickers, journalling cards, alpha stickers.

Buttons, chipboard, rub-ons, flash cards, Rocket Age miscellany. It also included a Chipboard Mini Album from the 'Modern Homemaker' collection which I forgot to photograph.

It just amazing how much is in each box, and the value for money was great.

Now all I need is to find a little space in my room for it to go - lol.

Again , Yah to sketches

This year I've really taken to using sketches with my layouts, sometimes I just do exactly what the sketch says, other times I use it just as a starting point.

Anyway on shimelle blog she did a post titled 'From Sketch to Scrapbook Page', which I loved, so I watched her tutorial and decided to give it a go, well after I had purchased some new Nestabilities - going off the track - I swear I should really stop blog hopping because when I see new products, or items that people are using, I just HAVE to get them, so hence new Nesties and a new border punch as used by Shimelle - LOL. I've used new nesties on this layout and the border punch on my layout here.

And this is my version of her sketch/layout. The photo of James looking all grown up and a teenager, complete with shades and pouch.

Products used : Cardstock - Stampin' Up; Paper - October Afternoon (OA) - Rocket Age; Small Pinkie Nesties; Punches - Stampin' Up; Studio Calico Wood Veneer Hearts & Star Rub-on; Tim Holtz Mini Gear Die; Stickers - OA, Bo Bunny (Mama-razzi), 7Gypsies; Jenni Bowlin journaling card; Alphas, AC Thickers, OA Mini Market;

Bye for now,

October Afternoon as landed ...

I've been waiting for this collection from October Afternoon for a while now, and I especially wanted 'Report Card' which I will be using for a mini book of James last day at Junior school.

I didn't get the 8x8 pad has here, but a few 12 x 12 sheets and the journalling cards.

Then the 'Farm Fresh' collection just happened to fall into my basket - LOL, but its lovely

So if you want to get yours check out Craft Emporium for the current collection and super speedy delivery.

As from today I'm on a stash freeze as money is getting very tight, and I need to use my current stash and all the lovely goodies I got from Ally Pally last week.

Is this the life or what???

Well after having a awful day yesterday with a sore leg, so sore that I was even going to call my friends hubby, to come and sort it out, hes a physio-therapist (I think) or something.

The pain was so intense that I spent the previous night trying to get some sleep propt up on the settee with a hot water bottle and cushions supporting my leg. Then in the morning I decided to taken some strong pain killers, big, big mistake I was fine for about 1 hours, the pain had subsided and I was able to walk around and even hang up the washing, then all of a sudden I felt I was going to faint and became very sick, so spent the rest of the day lying down on the settee with a cold flannel on my head, dozing.

So I was surprise that I was able to go to Julie for our regular "Wednesday" meet.

So started the day with a slight twing in my leg, but decided to go anyway. So after showing her my CD about the GoGo Retreat and a bit of surfing the net, I manged 1 card. Then spent the afternoon in here.

It wasn't planned, but has the weather forecast said it was going to be hot, I took my costume and towel and ask, well ok Julie, said that I'll go in hot tub before lunch, has it would help my pain in my leg - LOL.

Even since she had it installed last year, I've been saying that I wanted to go in, and boy is it worth it, its marvellous and so relaxing. I did spend about 1 hour in it, moving around the different jets, and just enjoying it.

Then after about 45 minutes was joined by Bev, Julie was on standby to take the photos and she carried on making her cards, she ended up doing 9 whilst I was in there and 30+ bows for one of her daughters dancing shows.

Whilst I was in their on my own, I look up and the sky was blue, the birds were singing and all was right with the world - LOL. No honestly, it was just what I needed.

Then it was followed by lunch provided by Julie, she is such a friend, I could just have gone to sleep after it, and the amazing thing is at this moment, I don't have any pain in my leg, so it was worth it.

And for the people who read this and know how me and Julie "stash" shop - I want one, because Julie has one ... ROFL.

This is one thing I would definately get as a "luxury" item it I had any money spare.

Also came home to a parcel from Papermaze with the new October Afternoon "Road Map" papers, 2 punches and some Glimmer Mist, so I feel some scrapping time being planned.

Anyway must go better go and do some tea, thanks for stopping by ...
