Project Life - April 2014

Here my pages for April, apologies for the glare from the page protectors - I tried to photograph them in different locations and so far I've not been able to find a perfect spot.

Helping out at the Junior School disco; love the blossom; my garden visitor; a trip to the cinema and lunch with Julie; James having mounds made for his teeth.

I added a life up flap for this insert to include my photos of lunch.

My garden; having my ear stringed; a trip to Merry Hill and seeing 'Arg' from Towie; and visit to the College and dropping James at School over the Easter holidays.

Then I'd organised another weekend away crafting with the girls.

We had a week in Sheringham which included long walks on the beach; coffee and cake with my MIL;

On the way drown we stop off for a coffee, I just had to use this Stampin' Up coffee stamp set.

I went to the Easter service; visited Cromer and Norwich to see the Elephant parade; a long walk with the boys from Cromer to Sheringham

Visited Holt and had a great lunch; Thai takeaway; steam train; and seeing  some public toilets finaling completed and changed into a lovely sea-view holiday house.

Fish & Chip tea, and  a trip to the arcade; then a final morning walking along the prom and a game of putting golf before heading home.

As usual I've added more pages depending on what I've been doing and mixed up the page protectors.

Thanks for stopping by.

Charity Crop Layout - 11 May 2014

Earlier this month I was asked to teach a class (along with Julie)  at my local crop for a Charity, the event was organised by Morag who also works for the charity and I was really pleased to be asked but at the same time was very nervous.  You can find out more above the Charity here.  The day raised over £700 - yeah !!!

Photographs by Morag Cutts

We was given the Basic Grey Capture paper collection to work with, but has we had to work from the one collection, we had to separate the papers and this is what I came up with with my papers.  Morag's brief was to show techniques, so has you can see I think I added quite a few on here - using various punches - circle and borders; paper piecing; die-cuts; templates; stitching.

I cut a pocket template from the silhouette, and use it to make a pocket, to hold the mini book.  The 'love' circle is a die

The mini book  could hold 4 or more photos, I just added two, and used some stickers and patterned paper to embellish.

The inside of the mini book, 'Happy' die from Technique Tuesday.

I also included a die-cut heart (Studio Calico) that they stitched.

Even though the day was very busy I really enjoyed it and thankfully I got a lot of positive feedback from my class, and was so glad that I was given this great opportunity and hopefully will be asked again in the future.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cappuccino Love

I scrap lifted this layout from one that Julie did, using a stamp set from Stampin' Up.

Papers used : Amy Tangerine Plus One Collection

I stamped on some of the papers, cut out and paper pieced together.  The Background paper is stamped with a Stampin' Up set.

on this cup I used one of the saying that came with the set.

Hope you like the layout, and thanks for stopping by.

Harry Potter 2013

Over the past months I seems to be scrapping loads of my Harry Potter photos and the album is filling up nicely.

Here are two more, both simple ones but they are done and in the album.

Check Mate - Maggie Holmes - Flea Market collection papers.

Common Room - I just used scraps for this one and a gold dollie that a friend gave me at the crop when I was actually putting the layout together. something I wasn't planning to use, but think it works really well.

Thanks for stopping by.
