A week by the Sea

We have just come back from a lovely week by the sea in Sheringham, Norfolk.  I really do love this place and never get bored of returning.

Here are a few photos of what we got up go.

The long and windy road to Sheringham

LifeBoat Day - watching the lifeboat launch

With the crew showing off abit to the crowd.

Then the lifeboats from Cromer came and it was good to see all 4 lifeboats at onces - a rare sight.

In the afternoon they had a services - which is an annual event

There was an amazing Sunset on the Sunday night

As it was the end of the Town week long carnival there was a firework display over the sea.

I visited the Seals at Blakeley Point - I'd been before but this was the first time I was so close to them.

Visited Cley Windmill for a coffee

As usual a visit to the station to see the Steam Train

Jon & James loved playing on the beach

as well as swimming in the sea

whilst I read my book and took photos

We had a couple of games of putting golf

And I was able to pick this project up - that I started way back at Easter.

And the final night, watching the sunset whilst James threw stones

If you have got to the end thanks for staying with me, hope you enjoyed a quick look of my week by the sea.

Gromit Unleashed

One thing on our Summer Bucket List this year was to visit Bristol and do the 'Gromit Unleashed' tour.  So with that in mind we headed to Bristol to start the search of the 80 Gromits that are placed in and around Bristol, with the exception of one at Paddington Station in London.

I had contacted the lovely Beki to say we would be in Bristol for the day and see if she wanted to meet for a coffee, well not only did she want to meet for a coffee but she offered to be our tour guide for the day, OMG !!! this was simply fantastic and she was the perfect host.

Here are a few of the Gromits we found, we managed to find 35 in the end, which we were really impressed with - I started the day saying I would be happy if we found 20, so 35 was fantastic.

We had such a laugh and it became a bit of a joke that we needed to check the backs of all the models to see what it looked like.

James - taking a close up of 'Where's Gromit'

One final photo of Beki and me at the PumpHouse - the day wouldn't have been the same without her.

Thanks again love, you are a star.

Now all I need now is to decide how I'm going to add all the photos to my August Project Life pages.

Thanks for stopping by.

London Sightseeing

Last week James and I spent a great day visiting London, the weather had forecasted hot, and it didn't disappoint.

The main reason was to go on a London tour bus, something that James wanted to do on our last visit.

We started off at Westminster and did a fair bit of walking, I love it that James really wanted to see the sights and wanted to see loads, we managed to see a large amount on foot - but we did miss a few things out - a great excuse for another visit I think.

Here are few photos of our day.

James gets the whole idea of taking photos - yeah !!! so it great seeing him taking his own.

At Horse Guards Parade

We walked to Trafalgar Square

Really not sure why this is on one of the plinths.

The Duck Bus - on land

in the water - we are going to try this

Tower Bridge

 Marble Arch

And a final one of the temperature at 4.50pm

Can you see at the top right that my phone only had 3% charge left, can't believe that my phone battery only holds charges for a few hours - need to investigate why this happens.

Anyway, that was a snapshot of our day and one that I've now got loads of photos to scrap - yeah !!!!

Hope you are enjoying the school holidays, we are so far and we still have a few other things  on our 'Summer Bucket List" that we want to do before he goes back to school.

thanks for stopping by.

Project Life - June 2013

Another full month with extra pages added.  Apologies again for the glare from the page protectors, I've tried various ways of photographing these but can still not get them right, but you will get the basic idea of what my month entailed.

So to start with having fun in my neighbours hot tub, the fruit that I'm currently growing in my garden, a quick snap of James, really didn't want to be minded of this visit to the Dentist  but it had to be documented - it really, I mean really hurt - lol.  Then a meal out with friend who I hadn't seen for over a year - totally forgot to take a photograph of the group but I did remember to take a photo of my food - lol x.

Lunch date with the Solihull girls: James starting year 11; sudden downpour; 2 years after my Operation; our 18 yrs Wedding anniversary - its sure has gone quickly.

A visit to Toft Manor Alpaca Farm with Sheena - a great day out.

Visiting Gardeners World Live at the NEC with my friend, I've not been here for a while and it was good to revisit, will definitely be going again.

the backside - holding a baby chick, celebrity spotting; and some of the insert that where on show.

A few close ups

Then I spend a fabulous weekend with Sheena at Sam's - we did some crafting but equally we just enjoyed having a weekend break.     This section is using the Quirky PL Kit from Crafty Templates

Close up of Sam getting way to close to the cows - lol x

On the Saturday night we went into Ironbridge for a meal, which was lovely.

A selfie of the 3 of us - love these girls.

Instead of going to the cinema this week we visited Bodenham Arboretum - it was lovely walking around the grounds taking photos and enjoying being outside on a beautiful day.   I've amended the date of this has it was the 26th not 23rd.

Getting my Studio Calico June Kit and documenting the upset that was caused on their forum regarding the additional international charges plus a surcharge for every order for international customers, that they had brought it.  Really put a dampen on the whole getting a kit so this month only purchased the main and PL kit and will decide what to do next month.

Receiving a crochet book from my lovely friend Jayne in Preston, such a nice thought and I'm so grateful for having a friend like her; taking photos at our local school at their Summer Fayre and finally receiving my Becky Higgins PL packs.

A great month and now I'm on to my July pages.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment - which are gratefully received.
