This weeks sketch is up over on the Twisted Sketches blog here, and the twist is 'Metal'

Scrap-Ex - chipboard shape (edges inked for definition)

added a tag ...

with hidden journalling

Tim Holtz metal embellishments

Tim Holtz gear die, and used a metal embellishment as an 'O' in the title.

What a sunset

A stunning sunset taken on Sunday in Norfolk.

The Salvation Army where preaching on the prom and I know it will sound 'corny' but this was the cloud formation, me and MIL where laughing saying the 'he' was pointing us all in the right direction, which was abit eerie to say the least.

Then it changed to this ...

and a final shot

Shimelle Cyber Crop - 'Let's Go Retro' Challenge

Details can be found here, and the challenge was to complete a layout with a photo older than 2011, so I used a photo from 2005 when me and my friends went to Dublin for the weekend.

Again loads of stamping, and a few bits I found when I had been clearing out my room.

Selection of stamps used : Unity Stamps; 7Gypsies; Studio Calico; MME

Shimelle Cyber Crop - Half Page Challenge

Shimelle's half page challenge can be found here

And here is my take, I decided to use the sticker from Glitz as the title, and have left off the journalling which I will be adding, now I've blogged the layout.

Products used - Sassasfras - Sunshine Broadcast; Glitz stickers; Studio Calico month stamp; Bakers Twine

Got a new punch - a cute squirrel by Fiskars, punch using Kraft cardstock and inked the edges.

Another one to follow shortly ...

Shimelle Cyber Crop - '3 is the magic number' Challenge

Details can be found here. The challenge was to use '3' of something, so I did a row of 3 circles embellisments.

A quick one here, photo taken of me and James at Webbs Garden Centre, Droitwich. the day after I was given the 'all clear' to drive after my operation and was so exciting about being able to drive after 7 weeks, that I went too far for the first outing, and spent the all time worrying about how I was going to drive back home, which I ended up doing in 2 stages - stopping half way for a coffee - lol

Products used Studio Calico August 2011 kit (yes I purposely turned the paper upside down - like the design better this way).

Shimelle Cyber Crop - Starting Point Challenge

After spending some time trying to sort out my craft room, I decided I needed a break and what better way than to scrap, so I had a go at a couple of Shimelle's challenges from her weekend cyber crop.

As I did a few I will be adding them over the next few days, so please pop back to see what I did.

Starting Point Challenge can be found here

and here what I did, this is one page for the August Document 2011 Pages. I will upload my August pages at the beginning of September.

Photo of James 1st visit to the Theatre, which he really loved.

Products used - Studio Calico August 2011 kit

My one crop layout

Last weekend was my crop over at Solihull, and I was really looking forward to it, but for some reason when I was there I just couldn't get into anything, but it was good to have a chat and a laugh and then we decided to go to MacDonalds for lunch, so off we went Julie, Morag, Nikki and I and when we got back I was definiately in the mood to scrap. Julie had scrap-lifted a layout by Morag, which you can find it here, so I decided to give it a go but twisted the layout.

This is what I came up with, again loads of stamping, I'm just loving stamping at the moment.

I did start another one which will you can find here for the MME Blog Challenge. Its so not like me to only finish one layout, I can normally get at least 4 done, but I felt so unprepared this time round, but hopefully I now back on track, which you will see in the following posts over the next few days.

So please pop back to see what I've been upto over the weekend.

Photo Shoot

On Wednesday, James and I spent a lovely day with Julie, Izzy & Millie and Morag and her daughter Lauren at Packworth House. Morag had asked if she could take some photos of our kids, it gave her some practice working with other kids and it will also give me and Julie some much needed new photos of our kids to add to our layouts, so its a win-win situation.

So here are just a few snaps I took of our great day out. They are not central because I was either behind Morag or to the side, but I like how they give a different angle to the same shot.

The lovely Morag, behind the camera

The kids together

So a BIG, BIG thank you to Morag for the days photo shoot and to everyone else for making it such a lovely day out together.
