Thank you ....

1st of all I want to thank you all for voting for me, its so great to know that what I've produce other people like it enough to vote, I'll let you know if I win, so thank you again.

Here are some of the layouts I been doing, so lets begin, I started this layout at my Thursday Night Crop at Fairfield, but was so not in the mood, that all I did was cut the photos down to size, and spent the rest of the time talking and checking out what new goodies I needed - LOL. I also found a great way to store my Tim Holtz Ink Pad and applicators, not my idea but when I've done them I'll share - thanks Candace for such a fabby idea.

This is Jon re-designing our garden, I used the April kit from Sarah's Cards, which has some lovely GCD Studio Eva Collection papers the title I took from a LO that Sheena had done over on the Scrapagogo site, because has you all know I'm hopeless at thinking of titles - LOL.

On Wednesday at Julies, we did the Solihull sketch challenge for our Sunday crop, and I ended up creating this using Crate Paper- Brook collection

This is one I'd done last week but hadn't taken a photo of.

This is one of James and Izzy (Julie eldest daughter), when when we all went to Twycross Zoo last year, and they climbed to the top of the Spider web climbing frame, I titled it 'Hi 5" because they look like they were doing 'Hi 5' in the air - IYKWIM.

Have you noticed that 'my thing' this month is punched out circles, seemed to be going a bit mad with them lately ...

Then on Sunday at the Solihull crop, my mojo had returned and I produced 4 layouts, this is loosely based a pencil line sketch No. 184

Sk184a

Using October Afternoon - Fly a Kit collection - a simple layout but I love the colour combination.

Now whenever I show the following photo to people, they always laugh, but I thing it great, its James having a filling at the Dentist, not something to be proud of but it has to be done, has the photo was taken with my mobile its not 100%, but it does capture the moment. The layout is based on the Twisted Sketch No. 49.

Twistedsketches_049 No. 49

Love these photos of James when he was younger, he's not so keen on me showing them to people, but eh oh! he'll get over it.

Another pencil line sketch No. 170, but mainly based on the design by Morag using the same sketch, using October Afternoon Road Map collection.

My version of the sketch & Morag LO

Well that all for this week, going Stash shopping with Julie on Wednesday, to a new shop over at Womburne, well not new, but new to us, then visiting Sheena on Thursday, where I sure I do abit of scrapping, but just spending some time together and catching up will be just great fun, has we haven't spent time with each other for ages.

ATDML Ingredient Layout

Last month ATDML asked me if I would like to join in the fun on their blog, whereby they send you a page kit and your produce a layout.

The papers are My Minds Eye and very pink has you can see, and I don't really do pink so I found that a bit of a challenge, but I'm pleased with what I did. It would be great is you could hop over to ATDML and place your vote (hopefully vote of me - LOL), which would be very much appreciated.

3 sheets of patterned papers, 1 sheet of pink cardstock, a few blooms, brads and 2 chipboard circles.

I came up with this, fortunately we were able to use punches, die cutting, stamps and ink. So I made good use of my punches and used my Cuttlebug 'Hippy Chick' Alphabets for the title, which I cut out from patterned paper (reverse) and mounted it onto white cardstock (allowed) to give it a shadow.

I'm really pleased with this, I covered one chipboard circle with patterned paper and made a faux ribbon, again using patterned paper and clustered the flowers in the bottom, along with some punched out butterfly (Martha Stewart punches)

I do hope you like what I produced and please feel free to pop other to ATDML and place your vote, which I hope you will vote for me (wink! wink!).

Thanks for stopping by...

More Layouts

Just two more that I've done over the past few days, the first one is using up scraps and that I had laying around, and for once I had the title (lol)

And this is one of the many I found in magazines that I want to scraplift, this is from Scrapbook Magazine Issue 45 and designed by Rachael, one of my favourite designers.

The layout has it appears in the magazine ...

and my version, where I've rotated the design to better suit my photo. Used Crate Paper - Brooke Collection. I ever made my own journalling spot, using a Jenni Bowlin Journal Book and my scallop and circle nestibilities.

Hope you like them, back soon with some more ...

I can safely say ...

my mojo is back, over the past few days I've had chance to get crafting, making cards, and using my page kits that I had put together over the past few weeks.

So these are a few of the layouts I've put together, I done a few more but need some finishing touches. I feel really please with myself ha I'm using up my old Scrapagogo bits and pieces.

This one is using the lovely October Afternoon - Fly A Kite -

Embellishment from Amercian Craft - its amazing what you can find when you have a tidy up.

Got this Heidi Swapp mask ages, and ages ago and never used it, so out it came as well as my Glimmer Mist, which I need more practice with, didn't want the colour to be as dark as it has become, but it does work

then punched circles, stickers, rub-ons and 7Gypsies 97% complete words. The ribbon is one I got at last years GoGo Retreat.

I finally got around to using some of the hundreds of eyelets I got from QVC when I got my Big Bite, still lots more to use, but its a start.

And then, on Saturday night, I got a call from my best friend in Preston to say that we have book our "girly holiday' in Benidorm. We are so excited, I missed last year because of James starting Secondary school, so am looking forward to spending time with my 'girlies' again.

I did them each a card - just for fun, along with a Holiday check list that I'd picked up from Boots, and I better get some ideas for the mini books that I do for them each time we go away.

NSD and sneeky peek ...

Happy May Day, like normally on a bank holiday the weather is a bit iffy, so just potting around the house then going to the Botanical Gardens later (more photos needed - LOL) thats if it doesn't start to rain.

So on Saturday, I drove over to Shropshire to the Skrapz monthly crop, which they had extended for the day to include a 12 hours crop offering 4 mini books layout classes throughout the day, but for some of us we just went to scrap our own work, but as usual when I saw the mini books being taught, I wanted to do them, but eh oh, I did manage to have a laugh (your know me) complete 4 layouts, discuss what we will be doing at our mini retreat at the end of year, have lunch, drank loads of tea, have a really nice evening meal of chilli & Rice and Toffee Pavola ( forgot to take pics - but it did taste and look nice).

I had a lovely day but the journey back was a nightmare, it started to rain, and boy did it rain and going on the motorway on your own in the dark is no joke, so it did take me ages to get home and driving at 40 mph on the motorway only prolonged my journey, but I made it in one piece.

A full shop with some lovely new products, surprisingly I only spent £6.45, maybe it had something to to with that I had already got most of the new products already.

A lovely buffet lunch

Trying to use up my stash, I decided to take apart my past Scrapagogo Kits from 2008 and early 2009, so I put together some page kits to take with me, that included some of the odd and ends that was left over from each kit.

includes some November 2008 products

included January 2009 kit ( sorry for the photo not being straight - don't know what happen there!!)

April 2010 kit and used a pencil line sketch book

Another one without a title, I have got one, but need to die cut the letters, that my only problem with Thickers (which I love) is the fact that you end up with loads of odd letters left over.

On Sunday I had a few hours to myself, so produced this one and two others that I still need to take photos of. This is James aged about 6, on one of our early visit to the Lickey Hill, and whenever he had or should I say still eat hula hoops he always puts them onto his fingers before eating them.

And my sneeky peek, which I will explain more on a later blog post.

And finally for today, I love my garden, but most of the time I think it doesn't have a lot of colour in it, I'm out there most days and can only see green leafs and weeds, so over the weekend I was surprised when I looked around I noticed my 'bleeding heart' plant, which is looking absolutely lovely and in full bloom.

Right the sun is coming out, so better get myself sorted to go out this afternoon, have a great day and thanks for stopping by ...
