Layouts from Julie's Weekend

As I mentioned previously I had put together some sketches and layouts that I'd got from Pintrest into a leaflet so that we could have some ideas how to use the crafting stash.

I managed to to 3 layouts, which was a lot more that I managed at my own crafting weekend.

Life Documented - using Simple Stories - Life Documented Collection

Always be Happy - used a mixture of papers from My Minds Eye - On Trend and Fancy That Collections here, I used one of the sketches for this.

My Awesome Dude (yes I've noticed the letter have slipped - have put right on the original)

This is a scraplift by Monique Liedtke for Imaginisce - can't do a direct link to the site but its here on my Pintrest board.

I have the booklet now and will be using as an easy reference when I go to my crops.

Scrapping Buddies - Layout

Hi, I back again with the layout I wanted to highlight more from my previous post.

I wasn't sure where this layout was going, when I started it but I know I wanted to use this stamp set that I have had for years - its this one from Elzebells Stamps - you know when you get a stamp set and think 'why did I get that' but I'm so glad I did - not used it a lot but it's words ring true today as they did years ago.    Unfortunately this company is no longer in business.  The paper collection I used was Echo Park - Creative Agenda - here - which was idea for these scrapping photos.

Here are some close ups of the stamps

I used wood veneer women shapes and coloured one in to represent me.

and stamped this fab saying - next to it.

I so happy how it turned out and now need to scrap lift it for myself.

Habe a good day.

Continued with Julie's 50th Celebrations

(Apologies - I thoughts I'd scheduled this to post last week  forgot to press the button - lol)

As Julie had done for me we did the same and made her an album full of photos of us with her, each photo and layout holding a special memory.

These are some of the ones I did

Page pocket - with the gang on our various lunch dates

I just love to have a selfie - and these are a few of us together over the years.

Having fun at a children play area.

A couple of photos of me and Julie at Retreats - I will be doing a separate post on this layout.

and this one of Julie around Red Nose day.

I love how each of these layouts turned out and I hope they made Julie smile like they did when I was putting them together.

I also wanted to show you the boxes I did that contained the craft supplies for the weekend.  As I stated in the previous post I'd sourced most of the products from Hey Little Magpie and it was fun putting it all together, but also I did pannick  has I wasn't sure that all the different products would really work together - thankfully they did.

I did some labels

and decorated each box

Heres a close up of mine, not sure what the backing paper is, but I used a Studio Calico mask with Tim Holtz Distress Ink, and Dollie, and the feathers were die cut using a die set from Stampin' Up, then I finish the sheet with some splatters of Studio Calico mist.

Each box was filled with some lovely stash.

and so that we didn't spent all weekend, just stroking the loveliness, I downloaded some of the many sketches and layouts that I have on my Pintrest boards, and made a little booklet for us all to use as a guide over the weekend.

We didn't have a theme for this party, but I'd seen these in TK Maxx and just know we NEEDED them  for the weekend.

Happy Scrapping

Let's Go - Using My Mind's Eye - Hello World! Collection - HLM March Blogpost

Hi all,

Just to let you know my current layouts are up at the Hey Little Magpie blog.

This month I used the lovely travel collection from My Minds Eye - Hello World! for all my layouts - and I challenged myself to use as much of the large chipboard sheets as I could on my layouts especially the larger chipboard shapes.

For this layouts I used the chipboard shape as the actual title.

Why not hop over to my blogpost  (here) and see my other layouts.

Thanks for stopping by.

Celebrating Julie's 50th Birthday Weekend

Hi, everyone I'm still here, still scrapping and still being hopeless at keeping my blog upto date.

So I will start with the weekend we planned to celebrate Julie's 50th - which is not until the end of March - but we couldn't get everyone together in March so we held in in February.

It was based on my weekend that Julie had organised for me in December for my 50th (here) but we wanted it to be the same but different, has the format really worked.

So it was agreed for us all the meet up for lunch, then onto Barbara's for a weekend of crafting fun, and here are few photos.

We started off at Barton Marina, it was a sunny day but there was a cold wind, but at least it wasn't raining ...

wdid a bit of shopping then had lunch.

Julie not looking happy having to wear her badge.

and of course a group photo.

then it was onto Barbara to start the celebrations  ….

I had put together a craft box of goodies for us all, and was fortunate enough to get some of the new collections that had come into stock, mainly sourced from Hey Little Magpie.

Amongst her many presents Morag had done a beautiful shadow box.

Sue and Barbara pulled it out of the bag again, by making a gorgeous quilt, which has us all oohing and ahhing over it.

and Barbara sister had made her a gravity cake - total yummy !!!

We even had a couple of games of pass the parcel.

We helped Julie start her birthday celebratings and we all really enjoyed it and we know she did.  I will be back with some of the layouts I did for her album - and more details from that weekend.

Thanks for bearing with me.
